Aces and Eights is a
variation of draw poker, and the layout is much
like all the other video poker games offered by
the software. Players can choose to play in
denominations between $0.05 and $5, and the
maximum bet is $25 with the highest coin value.
The buttons are neatly laid out, and the
paytable sits above the cards for easy
reference. There is both a single hand and
multi-hand version of Aces and Eights.

To start the game
players must wager and press the “Deal” button.
The object of the game is to make the best hand
possible. Players are dealt five cards, and will
choose between them and decide which cards they
would like to keep and discard the ones they
don’t. Once the draw button is pressed, the
player receives new cards that replaced the
discarded cards; the outcome of the hand is
revealed and paid according to the paytable.
Hands are ranked from lowest to highest starting
with a pair of Jacks or better. The highest
ranking hand is the Royal Flush.
The concept of Aces and
Eights is based off of the classic game of video
poker with a twist. There is a special payout
for 4 of a Kind hands made up of Aces, Sevens or
Eights. Here is the paytable at Bodog Casino:
