The layout of the game is
identical to other video poker games offered by
Realtime Gaming. The graphics are clear and
computer illustrated, and the action buttons
include; Bet One, Max Bet, Deal/Draw, Cash Out
and Hold. All American Poker is a coin-based
game and players can choose to play in
denominations that vary between $0.05 and $5.
The maximum bet possible in the single hand game
is $25, and the larger the denomination, the
bigger the payout. There is both a single hand
game and a multi-hand game available in the
download client.
All American Poker is a
classic draw poker game, played in a slot
machine setting. Instead of a table game, a
video poker version offers the player more hands
in less time. To start the game, players must
place their wager using the action buttons
towards the bottom of the screen. A total of
five coins may be wagered, and players can use
the max bet button to automatically bet five
coins and start the game.

Once the game is started, five
cards are dealt and the player holds the cards
they wish to keep and discards the ones they
don’t; and then press draw. New cards replace
the discarded cards and the hand in complete and
paid according to the paytable.
The cards are ranked based on
the paytable. The lowest ranked hand is a pair
of Jacks or better, while the highest hand is
the Royal Flush. A Royal Flush will payout 4,000
coins for five coins wagered. The column on the
paytable is highlighted according to the number
of coins bet, and the paytable is above the
cards for easy reference.
After every win, players are
presented with a double or nothing feature.
Players can double their wins by choosing a card
higher in value than the dealers’ card from the
four face down playing cards on the screen. If
successful the player can continue to gamble
until they reach the maximum win amount, or
choose a lower value card. If at any time the
player loses during the double or nothing
feature, all wins are lost.
