The software behind the
Bodog Casino
is a combination of multiple platforms including
Realtime Gaming and Proprietary software from
different developers.
Coliseum Poker is a new
game addition the many variants of video poker
games offered by the Bodog Casino,
and this version gives players a new outlook on
the classic game of Jacks or Better. Video poker
players will appreciate the new game as it has
large payout potential, and a progressive
jackpot attached. The card game uses one 52 card
deck, and the deck is shuffled after each hand.
There are multi-hand versions available of
Coliseum Poker, for
players that enjoy the flexibility of playing
4
hands
or
10 hands at a time.
The game themes takes an
ancient Roman theme, and the layout and the
cards reflect this. Not only does it intrigue
the player into trying something new, it gives a
nice change of scenery to players compared to
ordinary video poker games. The gold, red and
silver colors add to the effect, and the cards
look almost distressed. The face cards are host
to numerous characters, instead of the average
playing card design we are all used to.

The game is based on 7/5
Jacks or Better, and there are no wild cards, or
tricky payout schemes. It’s basic draw poker,
and the lowest paying hand is Jacks or Better.
Four of a kind hands are all paid at the same
rate, and the largest payout in the game is for
a Royal Flush.
The coin value is fixed
at $1, and the player can wager between 1 and 5
coins. By pressing the max bet button, 5 coins
are automatically bet and the cards are dealt.
To trigger the progressive jackpot, all coins
must be in play.
The progressive jackpot
is won by a Royal Flush with maximum coins bet.
If the player is not
betting all coins, the payout is awarded
according to the paytable.
Gamble Feature:
Winning hands can be
doubled through the optional gamble feature. The
player is presented with a face up playing card
and four face down playing cards. The objective
is to pick the card higher in value than the one
showing. If successful the payout is doubled and
the player can choose to continue or collect. If
the player is unsuccessful, and picks a lower
value card, all wins are lost.
