Face the Ace is a new
video poker game released by Bodog online

Face the Ace is a new
addition to the already long list of
video poker games, and this variant
gives players a new twist on the classic
game. Video poker lovers will appreciate
the new game as it has large payout
potential, and an intriguing design. The
game is played with a 52 card deck, and
the deck is shuffled after each hand.

There is a
multi-hand version of Face the Ace available
should the player favor playing 4 or 10 hands at
a time.
Once the player enters
the game they will immediately notice a
difference in the layout. The rich colors of
dark red and gold accents only added to what
seems to be an Asian inspired theme. The betting
buttons below the cards are golden and detailed,
while the cards are much different than the
standard deck players are used to; with dragons,
samurais and a beautiful women, kings, Vikings,
and other extraordinary characters.
The objective of the
game is four of a kind of Face cards and Aces
are paid out at a higher amount than the
standard game of video poker. The paytable may
seem ordinary at first glance, however; certain
four of a kind combinations could boost the
players bankroll more than others, and keep the
player playing longer. Jacks or better, two
pairs and other common hands are paid at a
normal rate while a four of a kind hand are paid
out at a higher rate for faces and aces.
The coin values are $.10
up to $5.00 and the maximum bet is five coins on
all denominations. The maximum bet allowed per
hand is $25.00. There is a special 4000 coin
Dragon payout for a Royal Flush with all five
coins played on any value, so it’s recommended
that players play the maximum bet on the value
they are most comfortable using. Once the wager
is placed, the player will be dealt five cards
which they can hold or draw; they are then dealt
replacement cards for the cards they didn’t wish
to keep and the hand is complete.
Gamble Feature:
Winning hands can be
doubled through the optional gamble feature.
This feature is much like similar options found
on video poker games at many online casinos. The
player is presented with a face up playing card
and four face down playing cards, the player
must simply pick a card that is higher in value
than the dealers showing card. If successful the
payout is doubled and the player can choose to
continue or collect. If at any time the player
chooses to gamble the wins within the feature
and loses, all wins are lost, including those
won in normal game mode.
